Practice for Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis

The paths to psychoanalysis or psychotherapy can be long and varied. Working through grief, pain, loss, anxiety, and everyday worries—as well as issues in relationships—through a therapeutic process can be healing and lead to a new quality of life.

Initial consultations

The initial sessions are designed to allow us to get to know each other and to introduce you to the psychoanalytic process. They provide an initial impression and can help determine whether psychoanalytic therapy is right for you. They allow you to familiarize yourself with the psychoanalytic process, get a sense of how I work, and decide for yourself whether it will be helpful to you. Typically, three initial sessions are scheduled. I charge 80 euros per session.

Psychoanalysis

Psychoanalysis is an intensive form of self-exploration. In psychoanalysis, speaking as freely as possible brings psychological conflicts that are inaccessible to conscious awareness to light, making them workable. This allows problems to be discussed and understood more effectively. Psychoanalysis is a transformative experience. Through psychoanalysis, one can gain a better understanding of one’s own life and suffering and achieve a new quality of life.

Psychoanalysis sessions typically take place while lying on a couch; the couch allows you to reflect on yourself in a relaxed setting and uncover what remains hidden from conscious awareness. Psychoanalysis sessions usually take place four times a week.

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

Psychoanalytic psychotherapy addresses difficulties and problems that cause suffering and make life difficult. By reflecting on and freely discussing what is weighing on you and causing distress, you can gain a better understanding of yourself and the causes of this suffering. This process of self-exploration within a psychoanalytic setting can reduce suffering and lead to an improved quality of life.

Psychoanalytic psychotherapy focuses on uncovering psychological conflicts that complicate life and cause suffering. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy sessions typically take place once or twice a week.
